Nintendo Makes Statement About E3 2023

By Todd BlackFebruary 24, 2023
E3 2023, Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft

There’s plenty of speculation about what may, or may not, happen at E3 2023. Some weren’t even sure the show would happen in the first place, but it is. However, reports immediately surfaced that the Big 3 in gaming wouldn’t be at the show in a major way. Today, we can confirm that Nintendo won’t be at the show as it “doesn’t fit their plans.” The company made a statement to VentureBeat where they praised the show and those who run it, but reaffirm they won’t be there personally:

“We approach our involvement in any event on a case-by-case basis and are always considering various ways to engage with our fans,” Nintendo said. “Since this year’s E3 show didn’t fit into our plans, we have made the decision to not participate. However, we have been and continue to be a strong supporter of the ESA and E3.”

Sony and Microsoft are likely to follow suit with their official statements on not being at E3 2023, so stay tuned!
