Wayforward Games has just announced to their backers that Shantae Half-Genie Hero is finished! All that’s left is to get a release date finalized. The game has been submitted to Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo and Steam, meaning that we shouldn’t much longer to wait. They’ve mentioned that as soon as they have a release date hashed out, they’ll update us and get it out the door.
We’re excited beyond human comprehension to tell you the news… Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is done! Did you hear that correctly?! We know, right? It’s crazy! Wow!!!
What an incredible experience this has been! As you know, this was a very long development cycle, and we’re grateful for your support and patience. This project was always about working together to create a product that was shaped by fans, for fans, and now that work is complete! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!
That said, everyone who has backed the games has up until November 23rd, 2016, to make sure that they’ve selected which platform they want to receive their code for. If you don’t make a selection, then a Steam code will be sent to you automatically.
I know I’m speaking personally, though I’m sure more than a few fans will be just as happy as I am to know that the wait is almost up and hopefully we’ll be able to play Shantae Half-Genie Hero over the Holiday break.
