Respawn Entertainment Promising That All TitanFall 2 DLC Will Be Free

By Keith MitchellOctober 27, 2016

In a move that I feel is pretty damned fantastic, Respawn Entertainment has announced that once Titanfall 2 is released that all additional maps, modes and whatever comes after release will be free.

No Season Pass required: all maps & modes will be free in Titanfall 2 Multiplayer. This means no splitting up the community and it all starts with the legendary Angel City map, remastered from the original Titanfall. This means once you’ve purchased Titanfall 2, your investment includes a full single player campaign, the full multiplayer maps and modes, and long-term support with no hidden costs. You can pre-order the game to play 3 days early, but it will never cost you extra.

Mind you, I’m no stranger to the video game scene and on more than on occasion, I did make a big stink about DLC’s being outrageously priced and even being offered before the game was even released. Definitely a positive gesture from Respawn Entertainment. It also doesn’t hurt that all the reviews so far have claimed that Titanfall 2 is simply amazing. I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to get my own Titanfall on, I’m counting the minutes until then.

Titanfall 2 releases on October 28th, 2016, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
