Gears of War 4 pre-loads start today for Xbox One

By Keith MitchellSeptember 27, 2016

If you’re one of the many who’ve pre-ordered A copy of Gears of War 4 for Xbox One, then we got some good news for you. It has been confirmed that as of 5PM PDT / 8PM, that you’ll be able to start the pre-load of Gears of War 4. Keep in mind that the release of the game isn’t for another 2 weeks so this gives you ample time to get your downloaded start and beat the rush of users when the game is released. The game isn’t exactly small either, clocking in at just under 55GB. I hope you have some space on your Xbox One for it and if you don’t, you best make some.

Good news! #GearsofWar4 pre-load for XB1 digital pre-orders begins later today at 5pm PDT (12am UTC). Expected download size will be 54.6GB.

For those wondering about the Windows 10 version of Gears of War 4, we don’t have a confirmed date on when we’ll be able to start the pre-load. However, it’s been stated that it will be “well ahead of the launch date” so here’s to hoping it’s sometime this week or early next week.

#GearsofWar4 PC pre-loading is coming soon and will be well ahead of launch! We will be sharing updates on that in the near future.

Gears of War 4 launches on Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs on October 11, 2016. If you pick up the Gears of War 4 Ultimate edition, you’ll be able to get into the fight early on October 7, 2016.

Hang on gang, it’s almost here.
