It’s been a busy day for Nintendo, as their latest financial data report came out and revealed some interesting insights into the future of the Nintendo Switch and its games. But just when you think that there wasn’t anything else to talk about, Nintendo decided to drop a report on Twitter from Shigeru Miyamoto that confirmed a live-action Legend of Zelda film was in the works and already has some key people attached to it!
According to the tweets below, Shigeru Miyamoto will be co-producing the film alongside Avi Arad, and further details noted that Wes Bell will be directing the film! The movie will be “co-funded” by Nintendo and Sony, while Sony Pictures will distribute the project.
I have asked Avi-san to produce this film with me, and we have now officially started the development of the film with Nintendo itself heavily involved in the production. It will take time until its completion, but I hope you look forward to seeing it. https://t.co/2H9lzzS5Pv
