Mina The Hollower Gets An October 2025 Release For Nintendo Switch

Mina The Hollower Gets An October 2025 Release

It’s finally happening. Yacht Club Games’ long-awaited action-adventure Mina The Hollower is officially launching on October 31, 2025, for the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, and yes, that’s Halloween. Fitting for a game brimming with gothic horror vibes, eerie crypts, and bone-rattling beasties. This release date was recently shown during the Nintendo Indie World Showcase 2025.

That’s not all, as a demo for the game will be available to play on the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 later today.

Originally revealed back in early 2022, Mina The Hollower immediately turned heads with its Game Boy Color-style aesthetic mixed with the tight, satisfying gameplay Yacht Club is known for. Think Zelda: Link’s Awakening with a hint of Castlevania flair, and you’d be right on the money. Since then, fans (myself included) have been waiting patiently, especially since the game’s initial release date was back in 2023.

I had the chance to go hands-on with Mina The Hollower during a past PAX East, and even in that early build, the game was something special. Fast-paced, responsive controls, a unique “burrow and dash” mechanic, and a hauntingly good soundtrack — I walked away impressed and hungry for more. It felt like Yacht Club Games was truly channeling their Shovel Knight magic into a darker, grittier world.

Now, after three long years, we’re just a few months away from exploring its creepy crypts and cursed countryside in full. To sweeten the deal, Yacht Club is dropping a playable demo on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 leading up to the launch. Whether you’re rocking the original Switch or you’ve managed to snag the newer console, you’ll be able to get a taste of Mina’s world before the big day.

It’s been a journey, but October 31 can’t come soon enough. Mina’s about to rise, and I’m ready to dive headfirst into the darkness.

Mina The Hollower was already revealed for an October 31, 2025, release date for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, back during June 2025.
