Ghost Of Yōtei Release Date And Collector’s Edition Revealed

In a recent blog post, PlayStation has officially confirmed the release date for Ghost of Yōtei, the highly anticipated sequel to Sucker Punch Productions’ samurai epic Ghost of Tsushima. The wait won’t be long—Ghost of Yōtei is set to launch on PlayStation 5 on October 2nd, 2025.

But that’s not all. Alongside the release date announcement, the PlayStation Blog also revealed a brand-new trailer titled The Onryō’s List, which you can check out below:

The latest trailer blends gameplay footage with in-game cinematics, setting the stage for the story of the new protagonist, Atsu, and her journey of revenge. To dive deeper into Atsu’s mission and The Onryō’s List, you can find more details [here].

Alongside the re-release date announcement for Ghost of Yōtei, a Collector’s Edition was also revealed, packed with a range of physical and digital goodies. Here’s what’s included:

Ghost Of Yōtei Collectors Edition

Physical items:

  • Digital copy of the game
  • Decorative sash
  • Tsuba (sword guard)
  • Art cards
  • Papercraft Ginkgo tree
  • Ghost mask
  • Zeni Hajiki coin game with pouch

Digital in-game content:

  • Snake Armor (also included in the Digital Deluxe Edition)
  • Digital Deluxe Armor Dye (also included in the Digital Deluxe Edition)
  • Digital Deluxe Horse and Saddle (also included in the Digital Deluxe Edition)
  • Sword kit (also included in the Digital Deluxe Edition)
  • Charm (also included in the Digital Deluxe Edition)
  • Traveler’s Map (also included in the Digital Deluxe Edition)

Oddly enough, PlayStation and Sucker Punch Productions have chosen a release date that lands right around the expected launch—or peak momentum—of Grand Theft Auto VI. Whether this will impact Ghost of Yōtei‘s success remains to be seen. That said, the original Ghost of Tsushima had a phenomenal run, and there’s little reason to believe its sequel won’t follow suit.

But what do you think? Are you excited for Ghost of Yōtei? Will you be picking it up on day one? Let us know in the comments!

Jordan has been playing games since the age of six. This ignited a passion which initially led him towards game development before trying his hand in the realm of games media, starting in 2022. It turns out he's quite good at it, even if he doesn't always believe in himself. Now, just a few short years later, not only is Jordan a valued member of our staff here at The Outerhaven, but he also co-owns and helps to run Analog Stick Gaming.
