ELLEGARDEN Chosen to Perform New Opening Theme Song for ONE PIECE

By Josh PiedraAugust 5, 2025

ELLEGARDEN has been selected to perform the opening theme for the currently airing TV anime ONE PIECE.

The offer to create the new theme was extended to ELLEGARDEN’s vocalist and guitarist, Takeshi Hosomi, a longtime fan of the series. He gladly accepted, saying, “If it’s for ONE PIECE, absolutely.” This marks the first time he has written a song specifically for an anime.

A promotional video featuring the track is now available on the official ONE PIECE YouTube channel, and it was announced that the song will be released digitally at 23:45 on August 10.

The first episode to feature the new opening theme, “Carmine,” will air at 23:15 on August 10.
