Crunchyroll Announces 24/7 Anime Channel

By Josh PiedraOctober 11, 2023

Crunchyroll announced a new 24/7 channel launching today to promote the growing medium of anime. Viewers can now watch the art form taking the world by storm in a whole new way… Amazon Freevee (October 17), LG Channels (October 11), The Roku Channel (October 11), and VIZIO WatchFree+ (October 11) are the first to carry the channel.

The Crunchyroll channel will immediately reach an anime-curious audience by making a telecast schedule of fan-favorite catalog anime available. Series available at launch include Horimiya, Ranking of Kings, Moriarty the Patriot, PSYCHO–PASS, Arifureta, Sugar Apple Fairytale, To Your Eternity, and Code Geass. New and premium anime content will remain on Crunchyroll’s SVOD and AVOD services.

The network will be programmed with dubbed series in English at launch. Other promotional, genre, and theme programming blocks will be scheduled for viewers to sample the wide range of anime being created from Japan.

“The Crunchyroll channel is a gateway to the world of anime where we will guide viewers to discover new worlds, new stories and new characters,” said Rahul Purini, President of Crunchyroll. “And thanks to our distribution partners at launch, millions of fans have easy access to the medium that is taking the world by storm!”

The channel is a collaboration between Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Crunchyroll and GSN.
