Project CARS 2 Day One Edition News And New Footage Released

By Keith MitchellMay 11, 2017

Bandai Namco has released two new clips of their upcoming simulation racer, Project CARS 2, with the McLaren 720s making its way around the Long Beach Grand Prix track. If you haven’t seen this game in action yet, you need to do so. Even though this is early footage, it looks better than the previous entry and rivals some other games that I won’t mention here. We’re treated to both a behind the car/chase version and a cockpit version of the same track.

We’re treated to both a behind the car/chase version and a cockpit version of the same track. We’ve posted both versions for you to check out below. I’ve watched the footage several times and I’m interested in getting my hands on the title to see how it fares to other games in the genre.

In addition to the footage, Bandai Namco also released some info regarding the Project CARS 2 Day One Edition. Only for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the Project CARS 2 Day One Edition will feature  PlayStation 4 and Xbox One which will feature Nissan’s infamous Group A R32 Skyline GT-R (Godzilla), 280ZX GTX race car, as well as the Civic Type R (Euro-spec) and 2&4 Concept Car. All of these cars will be exclusive to this edition, and no word on if they’ll be available with the standard edition. We’ve reached out to Bandai Namco for more clarification about the PC version.

Project CARS 2 is the follow-up to the acclaimed simulation racing title from Bandai Namco and Slightly Mad Studios. Released for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Project CARS was received well, despite heavy competition, missing features and several bugs that caused the game to be criticized. Slightly Mad Studios has gone record that they’ll capitalize what made the first game great, addressing the concerns and return with an even better game with the release of Project CARS 2.

Project CARS 2 is set to roar onto the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (Steam) sometime in 2017.
