Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs 2 PC Specs Released, Gets A New Release Date

By Keith MitchellOctober 18, 2016

For everyone wondering if their PC can handle Ubisoft’s upcoming hacker title, Watch Dogs 2, wonder no more. The company has released both the minimum and recommended specs needed to run the game. Surprisingly enough, both are pretty tame, especially with the recommended specs only requiring a GTX 780, 8GB of memory and will also run on Windows 7. Definitely good news for everyone who didn’t make the jump to Windows 8/8.1 or Windows 10 as of yet.

Sadly, Ubisoft has also delayed the title but for a good reason. Instead of repeating the same mistakes as the original Watch Dogs, the company is putting some more polish on the title, while delaying it until November 29th, 2016.

Watch Dogs 2 features a multitude of PC-specific enhancements, including support for full 4K resolution with Ultra Textures and Extra Details options; an uncapped framerate; and a host of other features and options specifically requested by the Watch Dogs 2 community. To ensure that these and other features are polished and optimized to meet the development team’s standards, the PC version of Watch Dogs 2 will now be released on November 29.

Can’t fault that reason and I applaud Ubisoft for making the right decision. Watch Dogs 2 is still on schedule to be released on November 15th, 2016, for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The delay only affects the PC version of the title.
