(Updated) The Xbox One price drops back down to $350 today

By Keith MitchellJanuary 16, 2015

Ever since Microsoft dropped the price of the XBox one to $349.99 during the holiday shopping season it seems that the system has been selling like hotcakes. However as it was a limited promotion, the price went back up on January 3rd, 2015. But it seems that Microsoft likes money after all and has started yet another promotion that starts today, bringing the price of the Xbox One back down to $349.99. This includes both Kinect-less Xbox One package and the Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Unity Bundle.

Update: Microsoft has yet again stated that this is just a promo, yet there is no clear date on when this when end. So snatch it up while you can.

Just doing a quick check however shows something interesting and it may be a mistake, however it seems that Target, Bestbuy, Gamestop and Amazon are not selling the original Xbox One. Instead they are offering the Assassin’s Creed Unity Bundle for $349.99, neither have the original Xbox One package.

Check this out for yourself by going to this link.

Not sure if this means they’re out of stock of if Microsoft only plans to sell the Assassin’s Creed Bundle, which wouldn’t be a bad idea seeing that you get a free game out of it.

Either way folks, you can still get a Xbox One for $349.99. No idea how long this deal is going to last or if this is going to be the default pricing for the Xbox One. And if so I wonder if Sony is going to respond to this, though to be honest at the pace the PlayStation 4 is selling, they really don’t have you.

What are you takes on the reintroduced price cut for the Xbox One? Are you interested in getting one now or did you already get one when the price cut was during the shopping holiday?
