Bandai Namco Filmworks revealed the first promotional video and visual for the anime adaptation of Itsuki Togami and Yuri Kisaragi’s The Jack of All Trades Was Kicked Out of the Hero’s Party on Wednesday. The PV, which can be viewed below, also reveals new cast members and the opening theme. The anime will begin its broadcast in January 2026.
The anime is being directed by Hiroyuki Kanbe and is the debut project of animation studio42. Additional staff members include Kazutaka Kawamoto as Assistant Director and Naoto Nakamura as character designer. Masashi Suzuki will be handling series composition, while Tsubasa Handa will be composing the music. The opening theme is performed by Tokoyami Towa of Hololive and is titled Sylve.
Kodansha began publishing the original light novel series in September 2021 and will release the ninth volume on October 31, 2025. Kodansha began publishing the manga adaptation, which was illustrated by Yonezou in March 2022. The 16th volume was released in September 2025. The manga received a 6.54 score on My Anime List.
