Wings Of Endless Review (PC)

By Scott AdamsMay 8, 2025
Review template for Wings of Endless

Wings of Endless is an action platforming JRPG created by Isoca Games. It got on my radar a little while ago, so I was hyped when I got a key to review the game just a little bit ago.

Game Name: Wings of Endless
Platform(s): Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Reviewed), Nintendo Switch
Developer(s): Isoca Games
Publisher(s): JanduSoft

Release Date: May 8th, 2025
Price: $12.99

Hariku is a bounty hunter who wields a hammer, which he uses to take on pretty much any bounty and quest he can get. One of his quests involves finding and returning a talking owl. Eventually, it turns into a much grander quest, as not everything in the world is as it seems.

The Good

Playing Wings of Endless is a fun time. There’s platforming, fighting, and strategy involved when swapping characters to deal with specific types of enemies. The platforming is also pretty snappy, making movement feel smooth. You can dash, double jump, smash obstacles, and unlock more abilities as you progress.

There’s a good amount of enemy variety in the game. It starts out simple with bees and mushrooms, but later introduces different plants, orcs, and goblins. You’ve got to stay alert with arrows, poison, magic, and close-range fighters all coming at you.

This was a solid-performing game on the Steam Deck. Wings of Endless maintained a perfect 60 fps throughout. The pixel art graphics looked great on the screen and brought back memories of the hand-drawn pixel games from the Game Boy Advance era.

The Bad

The Wings of Endless fast travel system is pretty simple. You get your sheet stamped at a specific harbor, and from there, you’re able to fast travel between any destinations you’ve stamped. This works well, except that you have to pay to get your stamp sheet signed. Instead of using in-game currency to travel directly, you spend it to unlock the ability to fast travel. In the long run, it’s not a bad system, since you’ll eventually unlock a lot of locations. However, early on, when you’d rather use your money on new equipment, it forces you to choose between that and unlocking fast travel points.

There’s a lot of enemy variety in the game, which adds a layer of strategy when dealing with them, but it can also lead to total chaos. You’ll be dealing with ranged attacks, status-effect magic, and enemies charging at you while navigating through maps. At times, it makes moving between areas pretty frustrating.

Wings of Endless also offers a good number of side quests. Unfortunately, they’re not always clear about where you need to go. Several places on the map might match the vague criteria, which turns finding specific objects into a bit of a hassle.

The Verdict

Wings of Endless is a fun time with precise, snappy controls. I’d recommend it to anyone interested in action-platforming RPG goodness.

Wings of Endless is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC .

Summary

Wings of Endless is a solid experience, as the controls feel snappy and easy to maneuver. It suffers a bit in traversal and the chaos that can ensue on screen, but overall I would recommend it to JRPG fans.

Pros

  • Combat is fun and snappy
  • Good amount of enemy variety and maps
  • Pixel art looks beautiful

Cons

  • Side quest explanations can be confusing.
  • Fast travel short-term pain
  • Chaos can be overwhelming
