The Boys Brings In Legendary Supernatural Trio For Final Season

It's time to bring...*puts on shades*...The Boys...back together...

Sometimes, even as you look forward, you can’t help but look back at where you came from and honor it in a big way. For Eric Kripke, he has the distinction and honor of being the creator of two very epic TV series over the last couple of decades. The most recent one is the TV adaptation of The Boys, which has blown people’s minds (among other things that get blown up constantly in the show…) with its commentary on the world and life in general. Then, there was the one that made him famous: Supernatural.

While he wasn’t the showrunner for the entire series, he was there for its best seasons, and as such, he’s never been afraid to bring in actors from that show to help him with his new series, including last season bringing in Jeffrey Dean Morgan to help with a key plotline. Yet, with The Boys entering its final season, there was one thing left to do…bring Dean, Sam, and Castiel back together once again…

Fans of both series know the importance of this reunion, including that Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester) is already a part of the series as the character Soldier Boy. He was a main thread in Season 3 and was sealed away after being defeated by Billy Butcher and Homelander and a sacrifice play by Queen Maeve. He’s coming back, clearly, but in what way remains to be seen.

At present, the roles that Jared Padelecki and Mischa Collins will play are unknown, but it doesn’t really matter, as it’ll be a thrill to see the trio on screen together for fans who felt the last season of Supernatural ended poorly.
