Masahiro Sakurai Highlights The Numerous Details Of Crafting Sora Perfectly For Smash Bros

By Todd BlackSeptember 20, 2024
Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Sora, Masahiro Sakurai

I’ve truly loved documenting the numerous videos that Masahiro Sakurai has done on his YouTube channel, Creating Games. His insights into gaming, while also showing his personality toward game development, is a true thrill. And just when you think he can’t be any cooler, he drops a new video that highlights how dedicated he is to doing things the right way with no excuses for something “not looking right.” For example, when he was able to FINALLY bring Sora from Kingdom Hearts into Super Smash Bros Ultimate, there was naturally a lot of pressure involved with that.

To that end, the latest video on his channel highlighted how Masahiro Sakurai looked at every element of Sora’s character model, skins, attacks, effects and more to ensure that they conveyed things correctly, were accurate to the series itself, and wouldn’t be “lost” in certain cases. He even ensured that the smaller details on the stages attached to Sora were top-tier in quality. This is what Sakurai does, and that’s why we all love him…and don’t deserve him.
