Here’s What You’ll Need to Play Armored Core 6 on Your PC

By Keith MitchellAugust 14, 2023
Armored Core 6 - Action Header

We’re just a few weeks away from the release of Armored Core 6, and let me tell you that I’m glad that Fromsoftware has finally released the PC specs so that everyone (like me) can go and make sure their PC is up to the task.

Thankfully, I can see that the minimum and required PC specs are less demanding than Fromsoftware’s last PC outing, Elden Ring. For example, Elden Ring needed 16GB of RAM at the recommended specs level, but it’s only 12GB here. Outside of that, nearly everything is there the same. Yet, at the same time, does this mean the game is more optimized? Those who played Elden Ring on PC (like me) can recall that the game is full of micro-stutters that still haven’t been addressed, while the console versions are stutter free (well, almost). Call me skeptical, but I don’t see this gaming running well on a GTX 1060. But we’ll find out soon enough.

As for Ray Tracing, I really wouldn’t pay attention to it, as it’s only available in the garage portion of the game and won’t be available during gameplay.

While we did get some PC system requirements, we still don’t know if Armored Core 6 will support Ultrawide (21:9) monitors or HOTAS. Fingers crossed that it will, but we’ll have to wait until Fromsoftware is ready to tell us.

But enough of me ranting; check out the Armored Core 6 PC requirements below.

So, there you go. Still, this doesn’t tell us if AC6 will support ultrawide support or provide HOTA support, which would be perfect for playing the game. I suppose we’ll have to wait until we get an official Armored Core 6 launch trailer and see what other things are being packed into the game’s PC version.

Armored Core 6 releases on August 25, 2023, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
