iFixit is now selling replacement parts for Valve’s Steam Deck. It wasn’t that long ago that iFixit had stated they were given the blessing by Valve to sell replacement parts, but they didn’t have an ETA as to when that would happen. As of today, you can head over to the iFixit store and order any number of available parts.

This is great news for folks who’ve had issues with their Steam Decks. From parts just not working properly to having their displays smashed for any number of reasons. And you don’t even need to have a broken part, as you can purchase the 512GB display, which is an anti-glare etched, and swap it onto the 64GB or 256GB variants of the Steam Deck.
I’ve already purchased a new front plate, so I can either Plastic Dip it or get some cool art placed onto it. I’m frankly surprised that the parts are as cheap as they are. If you weren’t aware, the parts and pricing were leaked recently, and those prices match up from those leaks;

Maybe I should pick up a few more parts, just in case my Steam Deck meets an unfortunate fate.
As for the Steam Deck, Valve has stated that it has ramped up production and shipment of its portable PC. I recently took possession of mine last month, and it’s been an interesting experience, that’s for sure. Some good, some bad, but I do enjoy the device so far. In addition to this, updates for the devices are being released with each passing day, all of which have helped make the Steam Deck that much better.
