Ghost Song to be published by Humble Games

Ghost Song, the upcoming haunting sci-fi Metroidvania title that has been in development for quite some time, has been picked up by Humble Games. Humble Games has been on a sprint these last few years and has been helping indie developers with publishing and exposure for their games. Some of Humble Games prior published games include TemTem, Unsighted, Wingman, One Step From Eden, Forager, Prodeus, with Ghost Song is next on its agenda. This is fantastic news for Matt White, the developer of Ghost Song.

Check out the news announcement from Matt White and Humble Games.

It’s been a while since I’ve heard anything on Ghost Song, a game that has gone through several significant changes since I first found out back the game in 2014. What started as an indie title that paid homage to Nintendo’s Super Metroid has become something completely different. Eerie, spooky, engaging, and downright creepy are some of the things I’d say about Ghost Song. Yet, the combat and overall mechanics are interesting, and the demo that was released a while back simply wasn’t enough for me. I wanted to dive back into that world but will have to wait until the game is completed.

Speaking of which, Ghost Song has a page on Steam where you can wishlist the game. I’d highly recommend you do that. This game deserves as much exposure as possible, and if you’re a Metroidvania fan, you’re going to enjoy it.

I’ve included some gameplay from the Ghost Song demo that was available seven months ago. I really can’t wait to get back to this game and look forward to the eventual release.
