Horizon Forbidden West digital deluxe and collector’s editions revealed

Remember when PlayStation had stated that they’d have more news on the Horizon Forbidden West pre-orders on September 2nd, 2021? We figured this meant they would have some special or collectors editions, and it turns out we were correct. Today, PlayStation has opened pre-orders up for the stand version of the game and two special editions that I know some of you are going to want to scoop up.

Sure, there are the standard editions, but anyone can get those. We’re talking about the special stuff that everyone wants to claim for their own. So, let’s get them, shall we?

First up is the Digital Deluxe Edition ($79.99), exclusive to the PlayStation store. Heck, everything on here is exclusive to the PlayStation store, for that matter. The cross-gen Digital Deluxe Edition is exclusively available on PlayStation Store; in addition to Horizon Forbidden West, you’ll receive the following content:

  • Horizon Forbidden West (Digital) PS4 and PS5 versions
  • 2 Special Outfits (Carja Behemoth Elite and Nora Thunder Elite)
  • 2 Special Weapons (Carja Behemoth Short Bow and Nora Thunder Sling)
  • In-game Resources Pack including ammunition, potions, and travel packs
  • In-game Apex Clawstrider Machine Strike Piece
  • Exclusive Photo Mode pose and face paint
  • Digital Art Book
  • Digital Soundtrack
  • Digital Version of The Sunhawk, the first Horizon Zero Dawn graphic novel

Next up is the Special Edition ($79.77). Which includes a sexy as heck SteelBook with a physical disc copy for either PS4 or PS5, a digital soundtrack (via voucher), as well as a mini art book. This also includes the Nora Legacy outfit and spear as a downloadable item.

You can pre-order the Special Edition here. PlayStation states that this is available in limited quantities.

Now we start to get into the pricy stuff, with the Horizon Forbidden West Collector’s Edition! This is a must-have for fans of the series. Aside from a digital copy of the game (entitling you to both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions), you’ll also snag the following items;

  • Horizon Forbidden West (Digital) PS4 and PS5 versions
  • Horizon Forbidden West SteelBook Display Case
    • Download code for the game will be supplied via voucher in the box.
  • A custom sculpted Tremortusk and Aloy statue
    • Statues will require some assembly; detailed instructions will be provided with the box!
  • Mini Art Book
  • 2 Special Outfits (Carja Behemoth Elite and Nora Thunder Elite)
  • 2 Special Weapons (Carja Behemoth Short Bow and Nora Thunder Sling)
  • In-game Resources Pack including ammunition, potions, and travel packs
  • In-game Apex Clawstrider Machine Strike Piece
  • Exclusive Photo Mode pose and face paint
  • Digital Soundtrack
  • Digital Version of The Sunhawk, the first Horizon Zero Dawn graphic novel

You can pre-order the Collector’s Edition here. This is also available in limited quantities. I think this is the version I’d buy if it weren’t for the next collector’s edition that I have my eyes (and wallet) on.

Horizon Forbidden West Collector's Edition

Say hello to the Horizon Forbidden West Regalla Edition. The most expensive edition of them all, coming in at $259.99, comes with the most stuff as well—everything included in the Collector’s Edition and more.

  • Horizon Forbidden West (Digital) PS4 and PS5 versions
  • Horizon Forbidden West SteelBook Display Case
    • Download code for the game will be supplied via voucher in the box.
  • A Regalla-themed, custom sculpted Tremortusk and Aloy statue
    • Statues will require some assembly; detailed instructions will be provided with the box!
  • Replica Focus and custom stand
  • 2 Art Print Cards
  • Replica Sunwing and Clawstrider Machine Physical Strike Pieces
  • Mini Art Book
  • Canvas Map
  • 2 Special Outfits (Carja Behemoth Elite and Nora Thunder Elite)
  • 2 Special Weapons (Carja Behemoth Short Bow and Nora Thunder Sling)
  • In-game Resources Pack including ammunition, potions, and travel packs
  • In-game Apex Clawstrider Machine Strike Piece
  • Exclusive Photo Mode poses and face paints
  • Digital Soundtrack
  • Digital Version of The Sunhawk, the first Horizon Zero Dawn graphic novel

This is also quite limited, yet it’s still up for sale at the time of writing this article. Maye, the price tag is a bit too rich for some, but I’ve seen worse. I know I’m crazy for pre-ordering this, but what can I say. I’m a sucker for a decent collector’s edition.

That’s a lot of special editions and definitely a lot of money for them. Are you looking to pick up and any of these? If so, which one? Let us know in the comments.
