My Hero Academia Celebrates 100th Episode on Saturday, June 12

By Josh PiedraJune 7, 2021

Blockbuster anime series My Hero Academia can now add itself to the prominent pop-culture list of series that has mastered the feat of reaching 100 episodes. Culminating over the last five seasons, My Hero Academia will premier its 100th episode on Saturday, June 12th, across Funimation in — United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Scandinavia, Brazil, and Mexico.

It’s been an intense battle at U.A High School in the last couple of episodes. We learned what it means to be a good friend through Uraraka’s support of Deku during an emotional class match and were able to learn more about Deku’s new ability. The last time we saw our heroes, the joint training between Class 1-A and Class 1-B had ended. What’s to come next for our young heroes? You’ll have to tune in and find out!

My Hero Academia is a Japanese anime series based on the manga series by Kohei Horikoshi. It tells the story of a young boy, Izuku Midoriya, who lives in a universe where superpowers — or “Quirks” — have become commonplace. Izuku dreams of being a hero, although he was born without superpowers. Through the help of friends, family, and heroes, Midoriya is admitted into THE prestigious high school for heroes in training. This is where his journey begins.

My Hero Academia has drawn many fans worldwide, including celebrity wrestler-turned-actor John Cena, singer and songwriter Kahlid, and international pop group BTS.
