Crunchyroll Adds More Shows to Their Anime Catalog

Crunchyroll

Crunchyroll has been busy this week as they have announced a new slate of shows coming to their streaming platform! Below are all of the shows coming to their service!

Space Warrior Baldios

Synopsis:

Marin Reigan lost his father and his home when Gattler staged a coup, forcing their people to abandon their dying planet and invade another. Seeking vengeance, Marin pursued. But when he saw the world they planned to invade, Marin found a new mission: to protect the untarnished skies and seas of that blue planet — Earth! The battle will not be easy. Marin’s technology is the only thing that can stand against Gattler’s forces. But the Earthlings are not quick to trust him, and the ruthless enemy commander Aphrodia is hungry for vengeance of her own. Can Marin gain the Earthlings’ trust, avenge his father, and stop the war? Part of a darker breed of super robot shows that first flourished in the late 70s, the 34-episode Space Warrior Baldios uses the clash between two desperate races to explore themes of vengeance, trust, and the darkness of war.

Hells

Synopsis:

Rinne Amagane’s new school is really something else. The other girls are ghoulish, the teachers are terrifying, and the headmaster is Hellvis, a demon in tight pants with a craving for rock ‘n’ roll. There’s just one problem: Rinne’s not actually supposed to be here! Sanzu River Academy is nestled in the heart of Destinyland, and while it might sound like fun, it’s literally Hell. And to get to Hell, Rinne had to have died–except, she never did. When Rinne meets others like her, living people in a world of the dead, she learns that Hellvis is more than just a hip-swaying schoolmaster, he’s also the reason Hell has turned upside down! And that’s just the start of the story, which stretches back all the way to the very first humans on Earth. Don’t worry, though. So long as you have spirit, anything is possible!

Sister Princess Re Pure

Synopsis:

Though they may come from different countries (and even different mothers) and have various temperaments and personalities, these 12 girls dote on their older teenaged brother. However, in RePure, all of the siblings live apart, which forces the (unnamed) brother to share his time with all of the sisters, from the elementary school-aged Hinako to the high school-aged Sakuya, who sees herself tied together to her brother by “the red string of fate.” The tomboy Mamoru just wants to catch up to her brother and be his physical equal and sporting companion, while Shirayuki dreams of an unlikely marriage, and Chikage uses magic in an attempt to seduce him. By turns funny, heartwarming and bittersweet, RePure focuses on the sibling interactions, but also spotlights an individual sister in each episode, exploring her psyche and relationship to her big brother. In the end, though, this gentle, romantic-tinged comedy culminates with a Christmas episode that brings together the baker’s dozen of a family as they realize what makes them a family.

Megabeast Investigator Juspion

Synopsis:

Juspion’s parents were killed by space pirates when he was just a baby. He was raised by a space hermit and scientist named Eijin, on a planet with the same name. After learning of the shocking prophecy, Eijin dispatches Juspion on a quest to fight the Megabeasts and defeat Satan Gorth. He travels from planet to planet until finally arriving on Earth. Wearing a special suit, he has super human powers and a transforming spaceship named the Daileon. Along with his gynoid companion Anri, and a baby alien creature named Miya, they will try to put an end to Satan Gorth’s evil plans!

Nutcracker Fantasy

Synopsis:

The original stop-motion Sanrio production Nutcracker Fantasy features beautiful photography, lighting, sets, and intricate dolls. They help create a delightful and sometimes dark world complete with the menacing Ragman and a tyrannical two-headed rat queen.

After a young girl, Clara, receives a nutcracker from her enigmatic Uncle Drosselmayer, she finds that her precious present is stolen by thieving rats led by Mauslynx, the double-headed rat queen. To win it back, Clara enters a surreal land through her family’s grandfather clock. One of her stops is the Kingdom of Dolls, where she finds the king grieving over his cursed, eternally-asleep daughter, Princess Mary, a doppelganger for Clara herself. She and Franz, the captain of the guards and Mary’s suitor, infiltrate the army of rats in a desperate attempt to dethrone the despot!

Like the Clouds, Like the Wind

Synopsis:

The country of Sokan is in turmoil. Following the death of the Emperor, a power struggle over the line of succession ensues. To cement the crown prince’s rule, he must find a suitable bride. And so, the hunt for a new empress begins!  Ginga is a straightforward, lively country girl who joins the competition for the emperor’s hand. Her earnest innocence shocks and reinvigorates the denizens of the palace. But can one girl’s optimistic spirit help to save a kingdom facing threats both from within and from without?  Based on the award-winning novel by Kenichi Sakemi and featuring character designs by Studio Ghibli’s Katsuya Kondo, Like the Clouds, Like the Wind is a family television feature filled with equal measures lively fun and peaceful mediation.

Tetsujin 28: Morning Moon of Midday

Synopsis:

Japan, ten years after World War II. Boy detective Shoutarou solves mysteries and fights crime with the help of Tetsujin 28, the 50-foot tall giant robot left for him by his late genius father. But one day he’s shocked to learn that his father also adopted and raised another boy named Shoutarou, now a repatriated soldier. Just as surprising to our young hero is the fact that his “big brother” can also control Tetsujin, even better than he can. But with the emergence of this elder brother comes danger, as a mysterious assassin, Morning Moon, closes in on the boy for being unworthy of controlling the robot. Meanwhile, the capital faces destruction when multiple bombs are discovered, planted by the two Shoutarous’ father himself!

Tales of Symphonia: The Animation

Synopsis:

A journey to regenerate the world…

Two parallel worlds occupy the same space, unknown to each other. But if one prospers, the other withers. The dying world of Sylvarant has one chance to survive. Colette, the “Chosen One,” is sent on a journey to replenish her planet’s supply of mana, the source of all life. In exchange, though, she must become an angel, leaving her human life far behind. Colette is joined on her travels by childhood friends Lloyd and Genis, who swear to protect her. However, as they get closer to their goal, the Tower of Salvation, the group learns the terrible truth behind “world regeneration.”
