Fire Emblem Three Houses Is Officially The Best-Selling Game In The Series

By Todd BlackNovember 7, 2020
Fire Emblem Three Houses

The Fire Emblem franchise is a very curious one in the hallowed halls of Nintendo. Not the least of which is that there are still many games in the series that have not been released outside of Japan. But, thanks to the efforts of Awakening and Fates, the franchise got a new lease on life and as a result, Fire Emblem Three Houses came to the Nintendo Switch. It immediately made a splash and that continues to this day.

Because while the recent sales numbers of the Switch didn’t reveal the sales numbers for Fire Emblem Three Houses, Resetera was able to track it down and confirm that it was over 3 million as of June 2020. Meaning that it is now the best-selling Fire Emblem game in history, beating how Fire Emblem Fates which had just under 3 million combined units sold.

This is a big win for the franchise, and more than proves that we’ll see another game coming out in the franchise. Especially after fan and critic reception was insanely positive. Including winning a fan-voted tournament at the 2019 Game Awards in which Three Houses was voted the game of the year.

If you want to check out our review of the game, you can read it here!
