Monolith Soft Is Recruiting For The Next Legend Of Zelda Game

By Todd BlackMarch 28, 2019
Breath of the Wild Review Legend of Zelda

An interesting job listing has popped up on the internet, and it’s one that is getting a lot of attention. Monolith Soft, the team behind the beloved Xenoblade Chronicles series, has posted a Legend of Zelda themed job ad asking for technical artists, planners, designers, programmers, and a project manager.

Now you might be thinking, “Why would Monolith Soft be posting some job ad about Legend of Zelda?” Well that’s because they’re owned by Nintendo, and during the development of Breath of the Wild, they contributed over 100 people from their studio to help make the game. So clearly Nintendo feels they’re qualified to help out with a sequel.

https://t.co/IlpsoAOCRA
皆さまのご応募をお待ちしております。

Now obviously, we don’t know what Zelda game they’re making, but it’s very fair to believe that it’s one that is a sequel to Breath of the Wild in some fashion. After all, Link’s Awakening is a remaster, but not one that requires a large group of people. And Cadence of Hyrule is being handled by the team behind Crypt of the Necrodancer. So the only possible explanation left is a sequel to Breath of the Wild. Or the next mainstream Zelda title.
