The Division 2 Closed Technical Alpha To Begin This Week

Ubisoft has announced that they would be starting up the technical alpha for their upcoming The Division 2. A very limited technical alpha with only a handful of invites being sent out to those who registered to the beta.

This alpha will be to stress test the servers and to make sure that the game does work as intended. That last thing anyone wants re overloaded servers – right? We all know how multiplayer launches go and sometimes they don’t always provide the best experience. So it’s relieving to see that Ubisoft is looking to get ahead of the day one jitter. Especially after the launch of the first game, which wasn’t pretty.

We will be conducting a confidential Technical Alpha this week-end, with a very limited number of players selected to help us test our servers and give feedback. For more information, visit https://t.co/zK3v4EGrUj pic.twitter.com/x6ubv00h3p

That said if you managed to snag an invite to the alpha, be sure to provide as much info as possible to Ubisoft. Alphas and betas are meant to find things that aren’t working as intended, so they can be fixed.  Sadly, there’s no ETA on if or when we’ll hear about any data collected from this alpha.

Didn’t get picked? Well, not to worry as there will be a private beta for The Division prior to the launch. You can sign-up for that here, or pre-order the game which will guarantee a slot in the private beta.

The Division 2 releases on March 15, 2019, for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. I don’t know about you but I can’t wait to get onto the streets of Washington, D.C. and put some screws to the bad guys. This title is one of my most anticipated games of 2019. Especially since all the time I put into the original game on the PS4 and PC.
