Twin Mirror’s Newest Trailer Reflects the Gameplay Mechanics

Twin Mirror

Paris Games Week 2018 has brought us a brand new trailer showing off gameplay footage of DONTNOD Entertainment’s latest upcoming title, Twin Mirror. This game is looking to be a narrative adventure, broken down into episodic parts akin to the studio’s Life is Strange series, which also placed an emphasis on storytelling.

Here’s a bit of exposition for the following trailer:

Samuel, a 33-year old man recovering from a recent break-up, returns to his hometown Basswood, West Virginia, for the funeral of his best friend. Understandably depressed and bitter, he feels completely out of sorts and out of place… But when he wakes up in his hotel room with a bloody shirt and no memory of his whereabouts the previous night, he embarks on a twisted investigation to find the truth.

And without further ado, the trailer at hand:

The atmosphere and overall tone of the trailer gave me some Deadly Premonition vibes. Which is a good thing in my book; apparently I had an itch for a weird misadventure circulating around an investigative mystery. Who knew?

Key features that players will experience while playing Twin Mirror include recalling memories and discovering the truth by exploring the dark undertones of a small town in West Virginia, progressing on Sam’s quest of redemption to find himself once more, and dictating Sam’s place in life with your own decisions and values as you shape his relationships with Basswood’s complex inhabitants.

Twin Mirror.
If my memories produced such a vivid dreamlike world then I doubt I would ever be forgetful

I’m curious to see how other people feel might about this game. So, if you’re interested in sharing your opinion then the comment section is readily open for business.

The first episode of Twin Mirror will be available sometime in 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

From the Hawaiian islands, Nanaue, the Prince of Sharks first appeared. This shark man was uncontested in terms of video game prowess. His notoriety of being a top-tier game wiz angered the envious locals and eventually forced Nanaue into exile. His hunger for competition and game knowledge grew as time past. This in tow, leads him to delve into the sea of writing and gaming culture.
