Just Cause 4 Newest Trailer Highlights the Game’s Story

By Zachery PaikaiOctober 10, 2018
Just Cause

A brand new trailer just dropped today for Just Cause 4, casting a spotlight on the game’s story. The narrative experience as a whole seems to have been a major focal point for the development team this time around. I mean, if they’re willing to dedicate an entire trailer to the story then there’s got to be something there right? Anyhow, let’s go ahead and take a look at the new Just Cause 4: Story Trailer:

Here’s a bit of exposition for the happenings you just witnessed in Just Cause 4; for those curious and or interested.

Now rogue from the Agency, Rico Rodriguez visits Solís in South America hell bent on uncovering the truth behind his father’s death. This huge, beautiful South American island is home to violent tornadoes and storms while its locals are kept under control by the ruthless Black Hand militia led by the dangerous Gabriela. Rico soon forms an alliance with Mira, a rebellious dissident before finding himself leading an army as he fights, grapples and wingsuits his way through conspiracies and chaos.

I’ve only dabbled in the Just Cause series with the initial release of Just Cause 2 and I did enjoy roaming the open world wreaking destruction with explosives, vehicles, and the fun grappling hook/tether. However, I couldn’t recall the slightest sliver of memory in regards to the story. Amusing myself by tethering cars to helicopters and watching the mesmerizing physics ensue always took precedence over the game’s narrative. So I’m curious to see just what the latest game in the series has to offer in terms of a deeper and more memorable story.

Just Cause
The grappling hook was and is dumb fun for some reason

Just Cause 4 will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC come December 4th, 2018.

From the Hawaiian islands, Nanaue, the Prince of Sharks first appeared. This shark man was uncontested in terms of video game prowess. His notoriety of being a top-tier game wiz angered the envious locals and eventually forced Nanaue into exile. His hunger for competition and game knowledge grew as time past. This in tow, leads him to delve into the sea of writing and gaming culture.
