Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Expansion Pass Trailer Reveals Story Release Date

By Todd BlackJuly 31, 2018
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna - The Golden Country Review

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was one of the big releases last year for the Nintendo Switch, and in fact, it’s sold almost 2 million units since its release last December, which is pretty impressive. The game had a masterful story, deep combat, and characters that were a joy to be around. Nintendo and Monolith Soft have made sure that the game hasn’t been stale since launch, releases numerous updates and additions to the game.

To get most of the more significant entries, you need to get the Expansion Pass, which brings the content to you for one price and uploads it when it arrives. The Expansion Pass got a new trailer, which you can see below, which reminds you of what you get with it. Including a Battle Challenge mode where you can put your skills to the test, including teaming up with Shulk from the original Xenoblade Chronicles.

But, the biggest get by far from the Expansion Pass, and the new trailer, is the reveal of the release date for the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 expansion story: Torna: The Golden Country. This story takes place 500 years before the story in the main game, and has you playing as characters old and new to show how things turned for the worse and set up the main game.

You can get the story via the Expansion Pass on the 14th of September. But, you can also get it via a physical version releasing on the 21st of September. So don’t miss out on it.

And if you haven’t already, check out our review for the game!
