Xbox Insiders To Get Access To New Xbox Avatar’s Tomorrow

Microsoft’s updated avatar creation system

Microsoft has been working on revamping their avatar system for the Xbox One for quite some time. And as of tomorrow, we’ll finally be able to see the creation system in action. Well, you’ll be able to see it in action if you’re either an Xbox One Preview Alpha and Alpha Skip Ahead Ring Insider.

A new update is being rolled out right now which will add the new avatar system, as well as the Fast Start loading feature. These new avatars are intended to give gamers a better way to create avatars with more personality. More designs and accessories will be available for you to customize your avatar to your liking. Make a copy of yourself, and ponder which one of you looks best.

And if you don’t like it, no worries. You can always redo it or go back to your original avatar. But seeing how much work Microsoft put into this, I’m sure that won’t happen. Sadly, outside of looking good, that’s pretty much all the avatars are going to be good for. Microsoft hasn’t announced anything else that the avatars can be used for. Their one killer application, Xbox Live Primetime, is long gone. C’mon Microsoft, you need to have another reason for us to use these avatars.

We’ve be giving the new system a test drive as soon as it is available. Word is we should be able to check it out at 12 PM PDT / 3 PM EDT.

Xbox Live Primetime

For those not in the Insider ring that will receive the update, we don’t know when these will be available for everyone. But once the new system is alive for all, we’ll be sure to let you know.
