There’s No Denuvo In Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus PC

Thank the gaming Gods!

Looks like Bethesda got the hint that the anti-tamper software, Denuvo, is basically unless. As reported by DSOgaming, the pc version of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus doesn’t include Denuvo. This is fantastic news as some companies are still using the software. Only to have it defeated in what used to be weeks. Or as we’ve seen lately, days.

This follows their recent trend as neither Dishonored II or The Evil Within II, included Denuvo.

And I for one, applaud Bethesda for making this decision. Yes, Denuvo is a horrible piece of software. But it still works for those who don’t follow the cracking scene. For those who don’t dare to try to run a crack on a game they purchased. Those are the people that often suffer, despite following the rules.

That said, there’s no way to know if Bethesda will never put Denuvo, back into their games. Or if another anti-temper “solution” comes a calling. But for now, I’ll consider this a small victory. Along with this move and Bethesda now sending out review codes once again, hopefully, sales will get better for them.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus releases today for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. I already have my copy and as soon as the quitting bell rings, you can best believe I’ll be knee deep in the game.
