Any more next-generation titles delays that we should know about?

By Keith MitchellOctober 18, 2013

With the recent delay in Ubisoft’s “WatchDogs and “The Crew” being pushed back until 2014 and now the recent delay of Evolution Studios “Drive Club”, it’s looking more and more that the next generation of consoles may not be ready for prime time just yet. With only 3 exclusive launch titles (not counting PSN titles) for the PlayStation 4 compared to 8 for the Xbox One, it’s definitely underwhelming for the PlayStation, regardless if it’s for the best.

Even still while the Xbox One has 8 titles maybe 3 of them are games that would be considered must haves or nice to have and that’s a stretch. Sure both sides will also benefit from their 3rd party offerings however one has to remember that the whole reason of picking up one of the new consoles is to play games that aren’t available on the current consoles. With some many titles coming out on multiple systems the line between a next generation console being a must have is for the moment non-existent.

I have no doubt that once Q1/Q2 of 2014 hits that we’ll be singing the praises of the PlayStation 4 and / or Xbox One but for now it’s slim pickings.

What do you think? Will you be picking up a next generation this holiday season or will you sit it out on the side lines watching the race for now?
