U.S. Screenings for A Silent Voice Revealed

A Silent Voice

Eleven Arts is bringing A Silent Voice (Koe no Katachi) to U.S. theaters this October and now, their official website have unveiled not only the dates in which the movie will be playing, but what cities and theaters the movie will be coming to!

All of the screenings will be Japanese audio with English subtitles.

Crunchyroll describes the story of A Silent Voice as follows:

I wish we had never met. I wish we could meet once again.
A boy who can hear, Shoya Ishida, and a transfer student who can’t, Shoko Nishimiya. One fateful day, the two meet, and Shoya leads the class in bullying Shoko. But before long, the class shifts its target from Shoko to Shoya. Years later, Shoya feels strongly that he must see Shoko once again.

All seven volumes of the manga are licensed for North American distribution by Kodansha. No announcement of a home media release has been made for the U.S.; however, the movie is out in Japan, but it does not contain an English subtitle track.  VIZ Media’s Europe division holds the rights to distribute the film in the European Union, Russia, Turkey, and French-speaking African countries.
