Resident Evil: Revelations Arrives On PS4 and Xbox One this August

By Keith MitchellJuly 12, 2017

Earlier this year, Capcom stated that both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One would receive a remaster of Resident Evil: Revelations. While it was recently released on the PC, the PS4 and Xbox One versions were absent. Capcom has announced that Resident Evil: Revelations will be released for both consoles on August 31st, 2017 and will be priced at $19.99.

According to Capcom, the power of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will allow for crisp 1080p resolutions. I guess they forgot about the power of PC as well (Capcom?). Hopefully, this also comes with a toggle for either 30fps/60fps as well. Sadly, there wasn’t any mention of either 4K or HDR support for the PlayStation 4 Pro. All of the DLC costumes and weapons that are sold individually for Raid Mode will be provided.

That’s a steal, considering the same game is priced at $40. Both Resident Evil: Revelations Lady HUNK DLC and Resident Evil: Revelations Rachael Ooze DLCs, will be included as well.

Resistance Set

  • G18 “Speed Load” Handgun
  • P-90 “Sonic Assist” Machine Gun
  • Windham “Steady Hand” Shotgun
  • Python “Short Range+” Magnum
  • High Roller “Speed Load” Machine Gun
  • PSG1 “Long Range+” Sniper Rifle

Enhancement Set

  • PC356 “Speed Shot” Handgun
  • MP5 “Speed Shot” Machine Gun
  • Hydra “Sonic Assist” Shotgun
  • L. Hawk “Speed Load” Magnum
  • High Roller “Sonic Assist+” Machine Gun
  • M40A1 “Sonic Assist+” Sniper Rifle

Revelations takes place between the events of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, on abandoned cruise ship, the Queen Zenobia, and the city of Terragrigia. There, Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine attempt to uncover the truth about the T-Abyss virus.

In the end, this just appears to be the same port we got for the PC. Just that it is finally making its way to the PS4 and Xbox One. Still, at an attractive price point, If I didn’t already have it on the PC, I’d definitely pick this up.
