Nintendo Switch To Have Even More Titles In 2017?

So E3 2017 has come and gone, and the general feeling from people who watched the show is that Nintendo outright won. They had big game reveals, they had big surprises, the Treehouse Live events showed off gameplay, it was a resounding win for them, and especially for the Nintendo Switch, which made its debut at E3 a few months after being launched to the world.

As we’ve noted on the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast, the Nintendo Switch likely has the best year one game lineup in history. Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, ARMS, Splatoon 2, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Pokken Tournament DX, Super Mario Odyssey, Fire Emblem Warriors, and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 all highlight year one for the console. But, if Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime is to be believed…there’s still more coming:

“Our focus is on games that are largely going to be available between now and the end of the holiday season,” he said to Waypoint, “And when you look at that lineup, there’s a strong game coming literally every month, starting tomorrow with Arms, and then Splatoon 2, then in August is the Mario + Rabbids game, September, October with Super Mario Odyssey. We’ve got that great pace of content, and I can tell you there’s more to be announced.”

That’s…surprising, and it’s honestly hard to believe that the Nintendo Switch has even more coming. Yet, it seems to be that way. Now, it could be that he means 3rd party games, like Skyrim which is set to release this year, or, he could be referencing big indie titles that are coming, but it’s hard to say. What else could the Nintendo Switch bring to bare before the holiday season ends?
