Mekakushe’s Digital Album 138-Oku Nen Me no Koi to Release on November 7

By Josh PiedraSeptember 8, 2025

Singer-songwriter Mekakushe will release her digital album 138-Oku Nen Me no Koi on November 7, 2025.

138-Oku

The album’s concept is “the universe.” Centered on tracks inspired by planets, galaxies, and cosmic imagery, it includes mekakushe’s first anime tie-in: “Retronym of Love,” the ending theme of Kowloon Generic Romance, plus insert songs “My Own Polaris” and “Yuwanamerou.” This is one of Mekakushe’s most ambitious works to date.

To mark her birthday on July 26, she released “Zutto Emerald” from the album for early streaming. The song blends hope and melancholy in a dreamy electro tune with a floating feel. Written and composed by mekakushe, it was arranged by Tomggg, who also worked on “Kimi wa Snorkel.” The cover art and music video were created by pixel artist Nanami Yuki.
