Male VTuber Unit Reφilm from Bandai Namco Music Live to Debut on February 18

By Josh PiedraJanuary 29, 2025

Bandai Namco Music Live Inc. is pleased to announce the debut of its first male VTuber unit, Reφilm (pronounced “Refilm”), under MEWLIVE.

Reφilm

Established in 2023, the VTuber production MEWLIVE currently has a roster of eight VTubers, including Beatrice Kumano, who is pioneering a new genre by performing as both a real-life and virtual persona.

Luki Lux

Reφilm is part of the MEWLIVE UNIVERSE, a subcategory of MEWLIVE featuring unique settings and story elements. The unit consists of three members: Luki Lux, Aki Natsumegawa, and Rino Nadaya. Their activities will kick off with a series of debut livestreams starting at 20:00 on February 18 (JST).

Aki Natsumegawa

Reφilm will operate not only as streamers but also as characters within a unique narrative. The story begins with the three members gathering at a movie theater called Reφilm, located in a parallel world different from Earth. The theater’s owner, Luki Lux, invites part-timers Aki Natsumegawa and Rino Nadaya to join MEWLIVE in an effort to promote the struggling theater, marking the start of their journey as VTubers. However, there is more to their story—a deeper mystery lurking beneath the surface. How did they all come to be at the Reφilm theater? How did they meet? And what exactly is Reφilm?
