Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Open Beta Details Revealed for February 2025

By Kevin KellyJanuary 24, 2025
Fatal Fury City of the Wolves open beta

While Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves has only been available to play at specific gaming events, SNK is about to take the fight to PlayStation, Xbox Series X|S, and PC gamers with an upcoming Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Open Beta.

The Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves beta will begin on February 20 at 12 AM PT and will end on February 24 at 11:59 pm PT. Since this is an open beta, there’s no need to register to get punched in the face. You won’t need access to PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live to join the fun.

While there’s no mention of either crossplay or rollback netcode being included, we can assume that both of these features will be since they are going to be included in the full game.

This open beta will provide access to eight playable characters, three online modes: ranked match, casual match, and room match, and an offline tutorial mode, which is useful for getting players accustomed to the new SNK brawler by teaching them the basics. As for the playable characters, SNK hasn’t provided a list, however, we can assume it will be eight of the following characters since these happen to be the characters that are being shown in the latest Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves trailer.

  • Rock Howard
  • Terry Bogard
  • Preecha
  • Hotaru Futaba
  • Marco Rodrigues
  • B. Jenet
  • Vox Reaper
  • Billy Kane

Or maybe SNK will shock us and reveal several new characters ahead of the game’s official release since the official roster will feature 17 characters at launch.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will be released for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam & Epic Games Store) on April 24, 2025
