Here we go, gaming fans! Today, November 18, 2024, marks the announcement of the nominees for the upcoming The Game Awards. Spanning numerous categories, a panel composed of gaming outlets and online personalities has nominated some of this year’s standout titles—though you may find a few surprises or omissions among the contenders.

Just last week, it was revealed that The Game Awards would now allow DLC and expansions for existing games to be nominated for the coveted Game of the Year award. This controversial decision has divided opinions online, though I’ve argued for years that it’s a move long overdue.

You’ll be able to watch The Game Awards 2024 on YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and Tiktok. The entire event will run between 3 to 4 hours, so be sure to have something to nibble on and drink while you’re watching.
