Solo Leveling Wins New World Webtoon Award

By Josh PiedraOctober 2, 2024

The popular Korean manhwa, Solo Leveling, proved just how popular it was in its home country as the series won the Grand Prize at the New World Webtoon Award amassing over 14 BILLION views.

This new award was introduced this year by a joint effort between the South Korean government’s Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency. The effort was made to strengthen the world’s awareness of webtoons which has become one of the country’s largest cultural exports.

Yen Press is publishing the Solo Leveling manhwa, audiobook, and novel series here in the U.S. while Crunchyroll has the anime adaptation available to stream.
