Anime is becoming more and more popular and because as such more studios are opening to handle the workload. Kadokawa is no exception to this as they have announced a brand-new anime studio called Bellnox Films and it is slated to begin operations on July 1.
Bellnox Films will be using Koji Kajita as its Representative Director and President. Kajita previously founded Gonzo and served as the President of David Production. Kajita recognizes the growing popularity of anime and states his mission with Bellnox Films is to make anime production more systematic while allowing it the flexibility to grow.
Bellnox Films becomes Kadokawa’s fifth anime studio, joining the ranks of ENGI, Studio KADAN, Raging Bull, and Kinema Citrus.
