First Impressions: Princess Peach Showtime Demo

By Faith LaneMarch 15, 2024

The Princess Peach Showtime! demo has been such a fun thing to play on my Nintendo Switch. As a kid, I loved the old Princess Peach game that was out for the Nintendo DS called Super Princess Peach. My mom used to buy me everything Princess Peach themed, so I knew when I saw this game released, I had to give it a try – but now I got to try out the demo before the release of the game!

Going into the game, at first, we see that Princess Peach is inside a theater with Toad, and soon her crown gets stolen, and this is when more of the story of Princess Peach Showtime starts to unveil. Soon after, a cute little star named Stella gives Peach a sparkling pink bow so she can go off on her adventure in style.

First Thoughts On Princess Peach Showtime!

While I will say Princess Peach showtime does seem to be geared a bit more toward a younger audience, I do feel even older players will enjoy it. The combat in the game is super easy – at least in the first level we get to play so it could turn out being a cozy game for everyone to kick their feet up to without struggle.

I have found both this and Donkey Kong vs Mario to both be pretty laidback games that don’t require a lot of grinding to be sucessful. This is something I can already tell I am going to like about the game. Not to mention the cuteness from Princess Preach and all the pretty graphics. This game is especially girlie and just reminds me of playing the older Princess Preach games as a kid so I can’t help but love what I have seen of the game so far.
