Dambuster Studios, the developers of Dead Island 2, have unveiled the system requirements for the highly anticipated game, which is set to launch on April 21st, 2023. While the majority of the specifications are typical for modern open-world games, achieving recommended settings and above will require a powerful CPU and GPU, as the graphic intensity during combat with zombie hordes may require a greater processing capacity.
On the positive side, the GPU and RAM requirements are relatively modest, and not too demanding for most PC setups. It’s interesting that see that a developer is still recommending an RTX 3090, as others have moved on to the RTX 4000 series cards. The same cannot be said for the CPU requirements, which become increasingly demanding as the graphics settings are elevated to high and ultra levels.
The game’s specifications for various settings are as follows:
Minimum:
- Resolution: 1080p, 30 FPS
- CPU: AMD FX-9590 or Intel Core i7-7700HQ
- Memory: 10 GB
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 480 or GeForce GTX 1060
