More Bayonetta’s Than You Can Shake A Stick At in Bayonetta 3

By Keith MitchellOctober 13, 2022
Bayonetta 3 - Bayonettas Everywhere

With the release date of Bayonetta 3 nearly two weeks away, Nintendo has dropped another teaser trailer, and this one is not only quite the watch. It’s also full of spoilers, so you may want to avoid it if that bothers you.

This time we’re treated to not one but multiple Bayonettas, all unique, and in Bayonetta 3, it looks like all of them will be fighting for a common cause. It would seem that universes are collapsing on one another, and it’s up to the Bayonettas to ensure that doesn’t happen.

Fight your way through the streets of Tokyo, the mountains of China, and many other locales! Along the way you’ll meet a virtual coven of Bayonettas, each more fabulous than the last. You’ll also slash and slay as Viola, a feisty witch in training who fights with a sword and a capricious companion, the demon Cheshire. Find out what fate awaits Bayonetta, and if this arcane alliance can really save reality!

I’m pretty sure Bayonetta 3 will have lots of twists in terms of the story, and I can’t wait to dive in.

Last month, a gameplay trailer for Bayonetta 3 was also released. Shown during the September 2022 Nintendo Direct, 7-minutes of gameplay was shown, much of which was footage that wasn’t shown prior.

There’s also a Bayonetta 3 Collector’s Edition called the Bayonetta 3 Trinity Masquerade Edition. This special edition of Bayonetta 3 went up for pre-order in July 2022, and includes a copy of Bayonetta 3, a 200-page art book, and three reversible game case cover art (one cover for each Bayonetta game). If you didn’t jump on this when it was available, chances are you won’t be able to snag one now, as they went out of stock fairly quickly.

Bayonetta 3 releases exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on October 28th, 2022.
