Splatoon 3 Drops New Track and First Review Scores!

By Todd BlackSeptember 7, 2022
Splatoon 3, Splatoon 3 Direct

Are you ready for the release of Splatoon 3? Most are after the effect event that was the Splatfest World Premiere! As such, any and all new things that can be found about the game are most welcome. Thankfully, the team at the Squid Research Labs has your back, as they were more than willing to drop a new track from Off the Hook and Damp Socks to make your day a bit more musical.

You can check it out below.

SRL Musicology here! We locked ourselves in the break room and listened to Damp Socks feat. Off the Hook’s new single 100 times. It’s called “Tentacle to the Metal,” and the driving beat and vocals seem to be inspired by a car chase! Related: we’re now banned from the break room. pic.twitter.com/0llHE7Ct2g

As for the review scores, those have come out, and on Metacritic especially, the game is doing pretty well so far:

Obviously, these scores for Splatoon 3 could go up or down over time, but overall it seems that everyone is having fun being back in the world of the Inklings and Octolings. See what you think for yourself when the game drops on September 9th!

And if you’re looking for our review, we won’t have it until later next week as we did not receive a copy for review. Not to worry, we’ll get it up, and you’ll hear about all the wonderful things we have to say about Splatoon 3.
