While the racing fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Polyphony Digital’s next masterpiece, Gran Turismo 7, a new gameplay trailer was released today.
Captured on the PlayStation 5 is a lap around the infamous Daytona International Speedway (DAYTONAAAAAA!!!!). This beautiful-looking trailer gives us an idea of what to expect when the game is released on March 04, 2022. The attention to detail on both the track and cars is mind-blowing. While the lighting and shadows are some of the best I’ve seen. Even better than Gran Turismo Sport and Forza Motosport 7.
The only thing that’s bugging me is that the rear-view mirror frame rate looks to be half of the game’s frame rate. Hopefully, that is addressed before launch. Otherwise, I’m convinced that this is going to be a must-play for me.
Gran Turismo 7 was initially scheduled to be released in 2021. However, thanks to COVID-19 and the challenges it presented, the game was delayed into 2022. Following that, Sony released that the number of PlayStation 5 units available wasn’t enough and required action. To course-correct this, Gran Turismo 7 was changed to a cross-generation title and will also release on the PlayStation 4.
Now, after all that, here are. Just a few months away from its release, and I can’t wait. Gran Turismo 7 will be released for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
