Nintendo Indie World 2021 Announced

By Ryan EasbyAugust 10, 2021

Following on from a week full of indie game showcases, Nintendo has announced a new Nintendo Indie World showcase arriving tomorrow at 9 AM PT/ 12 PM ET.

A new #IndieWorld Showcase arrives on Aug. 11 at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET! Tune in for roughly 20 minutes of information on upcoming indie games heading to #NintendoSwitch.

Not much information has been revealed, as is typical for these types of events, but Nintendo has tweeted that they will be showing off roughly 20 minutes of information on upcoming indie game for Nintendo Switch. Usually these showcases have some major hitters and incredible games, so it’s worth keeping an eye on the showcase.

In previous showcases, Nintendo has shown off acclaimed games such as Hades and Untitled Goose Game. Both of these games were showered with awards and acclaim, so it’s always worth the watch. Personally, I’d love to see games such as Humankind and Death’s Door come to a portable system, although one of those feels distinctly more likely than the other.

Ryan Easby is a writer by trade and by passion. He's been playing video games from a young age, with his introduction to gaming being a SNES, while his peers were playing the original Xbox. If you need to talk about Kingdom Hearts, he's your guy. Can often be found dying repeatedly in a game.
