Sonic The Hedgehog has been in some rather interesting places as of late, including have a hit live-action movie whose sequel will arrive next year. But in terms of gaming, fans are still hoping for the blue blur to return to his former glory in the realm of video games.
Well, in light of the Sonic The Hedgehog 30th Anniversary celebration, Sonic Team has announced a special “Sonic Central” event that will be arriving on Thursday. It’s promising a look at their “projects, partnerships and events” for the 30th anniversary.

More than likely, this will include at least one new game, a possible look at the Netflix series that is going on, and maybe even a teaser for the next live-action movie. We’ll be sure to let you know what drops when the announcements are made!
