Elgato’s Project Wave teased with a single image

By Keith MitchellMay 19, 2020

Elgato and Corsair are two names that come to mind when you’re looking to either enhance your gaming quality or content creation. For some time now they’ve been teasing a new entry in their line-up, under the mocker “Project Wave“. Until now they haven’t shared much information regarding this project, which has lead to much speculation.

However, if you had signed up for their newsletter, they have recently started releasing hints as to what this project is. With today’s tease showing what appears to be a microphone, with the Elgato logo seen on the position adjustment knob. With the “Wave” adoring the site of the microphone. Accompanying the image is a tease “The Wait is Almost Over”.

Sadly, that’s all we’ve seen so far, as this is just a tease. Though I’m sure we’ll be seeing more about this super-secret microphones in the upcoming days, if not weeks.

That said, I’m beginning to think that Project Wave is more than just a microphone. Over on the Project Wave website, there’s an image that’s constantly changing with the last form being a rectangular object, that looks nothing like the image above. Which makes me wonder if Project Wave isn’t just a microphone, but a who new suite of audio gear from Elgato and Corsair.

I suppose we’ll just have to wait until the pair is ready to show their hand.
