Nintendo has been trying to grow their user base via mobile games (official ones) that feature their legendary IPs. It started with Super Mario Run, then Fire Emblem Heroes, and then Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, but nothing has come out this since. And it’s been a while. Now though, Nintendo is doubling down this year with a Dr. Mario game, and Mario Kart Tour. The later of which has just gotten some big news.

A website has gone up for Mario Kart Tour, and it confirms that the game is coming this Summer. But also, that a beta test will be happening soon. You can apply now until May 7th. And the beta test itself will start in late May and go until early June.

A note, it only will be available for Android phone users.

This is a good things for their mobile initiative, as it proves they’re close to getting this done. We’ll hopefully see something from Nintendo about this as the beta draws closer.
