PlayStation Is Getting Its Own Live Gaming Show Called “State Of Play”

State of Play Show

Looks like Sony got tired of Microsoft and Nintendo hogging all the spotlight with their own gaming shows. As such, they’ve announced a new show called “The State of Play”, which will air on Monday, March 25, 2019.

Announcing State of Play: https://t.co/5I6yKbONtX Tune in to our first episode Monday, March 25 at 2pm Pacific for new PS4 and PS VR software updates and announcements pic.twitter.com/tyOHLkgEpV

This new show will focus on new PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR announcements. That’s all that they’ve said in terms of the show, which doesn’t really tell us much. Are we going to see an approach similar to Nintendo’s Direct, where we see up and coming games? Or will it be similar to Microsft’s live shows where they talk about the current status of the PlayStation, interview guests and talk about games? Either way, it should be quite interesting. Especially since out of the PlayStation Experience, Sony has never had a show such as this.

You can catch the show on  Twitch, YouTube, Twitter or Facebook.

There’s no word of if this will be a monthly show, but seeing how they’re making a big deal out of this. I highly doubt this will be the only time we hear of State of Play. In fact, this is a great way for Sony to talk about not only the PS4 and PS VR, but also their upcoming PlayStation 5. Maybe even their own cloud-gaming plans as well. Yep, this is going to be good. So save the date.

State of Play’s first episode airs March 25, 2019, at 2PM PDT / 5PM EDT.
